Pool Water Fill Cost Calculator

Estimate what it costs to fill your pool, and how long a garden hose will take, from your volume and local water price.

Tip: calculate your exact volume on the pool volume calculator first, then bring that gallons number here.

How fill cost is calculated

Water is usually billed per 1,000 gallons or per CCF (hundred cubic feet, which is about 748 gallons). Divide your pool volume by the billing unit and multiply by the price. Some utilities also charge sewer fees on water you use — add that rate if it applies to you. A typical garden hose flows 8–12 gallons a minute, so large pools can take a day or more to fill.

Questions

This tool, explained

For small top-ups a hose is cheapest. For a full fill, compare your per-gallon utility rate (including any sewer charge) against a bulk delivery quote — deliveries avoid sewer fees and save time.
Sometimes. Many utilities bill sewer based on metered water. Ask about a fill or irrigation credit, and enter your sewer rate above to see the impact.
